A funny now but not at the time story

Here's a story we'll tell Cameron someday. First we went to the Campbells and brought the pack and plays. We put them to bed and they seemed quiet. Then Cameron started wailing, so we left and put them to bed. But he never stopped wailing, which led to screaming bloody blue murder. So after 2 hours I called 911 because he seemed to be acting in pain. They came out along w/the fire dept and police dept. Cameron stopped crying and exitedly pointed out all the lights in the house. So I was very embarrased but they made me feel fine about calling. He started wailing the second they left. Two hours later he was still hollering his headoff like I've never seen before. So I called their Dr. and was told to rush himto the ER. We leave the house and he stops crying. Fell asleep in my arms in the wiating room and in the examination room, of course the Dr. says he's just fine. I get home three hours later at 5:00 am and by then I hadn't been to bed. So woke up Jonathon (who never knew I left for the ER). He had no idea I'd been sitting in the ER all night! I figured I'd just let him sleep. So, he got up and they both fell asleep in the chair. That was our exciting Sat. night!

18 month statistics

Cameron and Jasmine got their 18 month check up today. But they were sick, so no shots. Just a cold hopefully.

Drum rolll.....

Cameron weighs 25 lbs. 9 oz. Oh no, looks like he's grown another size in clothes! He's in the 90-95% for height. Weight in the 60%.

Jasmine weighs 23 lbs 10 oz. She's in the 85% for height and 45% in weight. Hmmm...looking like mommy will be the shrimp in the family soon.

Our trip to Colorado

Our first stop was to visit Papa and Nat! We flew very well and enjoyed our time in Ft. Collins (actually Wellington).

The gardens and Colorado State U.

Our next stop was in Black Forest to visit Moma, Grumpa, Grandma, Auntie Chris, Auntie Summer, Uncle Guido and our cousins Zane and Paris. We had a lot of fun, especially when Paris taught us how to jump on the bed!

Our next adventure was in Aspen! The ride there was stunning. We even crossed the Continental Divide!

We finally made it to Aspen. But we sort of drove mommy and daddy banana's while we were there though. We were a bit unruly. Maybe it was the altitude! Yea, that must have been it. Mom and Dad figured out that if they just drive us around, we behave much better! So we visited Snowmass and then discovered Maroon Bells park on the way home. It was the highlight of the trip. We got to throw rocks in the water and explore!

Daddy's so silly!

Hmmm, that was pretty good!

Maroon Bells. WOW!!!

Did you ever feel like all eyes were on you when you left a hotel room? That's exactly how mom and dad felt. I think it had something to do with us hollering our heads off in the hotel room. So we just got out of there and went up the gondola. We sure didn't like that at all! But we did play a bit before demanding to go back down that mountin!

The top of Aspen Mt.

Alright...time to get outta here and off to Vail. We've all had enough of Aspen.

Meandering along the Colorado River!

Off to Vail we go! Mommy and Daddy thought that the gondola in Vail would be much better. So off we go. Silly parents. We passed a lego car though and that was cool!

Here we are at the top of Vail. We're still not liking these high mountains!

Let's get outta here! Down the mt. we go.

Finally some fun in the construction zone!

Mommy and Daddy practically begged for a suite upgrade. I think they figured us out. They put us on the top floor in a suite with no one around us! We loved the big hotel room. We could run around like the toddlers we are! Off to town we go.

Colorado has some really cool parks. We visited many along the way. This one was supposed to look like a rain cloud.

A future rock climber.

Jasmine's a bit tired! Off to the room we go.

It's the last day and today we went to Breckenridge. What a cool little town. So beautiful. And more parks!

Our final stop was Golden to meet Summer for lunch and one last goodbye for now.

Bye Bye Colorado!

Off to Colorado!

We are going to visit Jonathon's family tomorrow. A busy schedule. Ft. Collins, Colorado Springs, Aspen and Vail! Meanwhile, we bought baby headphones to entertain them on the plane. Jasmine like them!

Off to yet another park. This one's called 'Pirate Park'. No, no Pirates, but a ship that resembles one.

Well just kick your feet up and relax Cameron! Yes the high chairs are OUTTA here!!

Hanging around with Tomomi

Here's some fun pictures Tomomi took during the past few weeks.

Bees and Summer

Jasmine got her first bee sting. She didn't like it at all, but sure knows the word Bee now. Here they are just hanging around the house. Playing with their new Mr. Potato head and picking all the flowers in the garden. And of couse Mortimer and Cameron playing.

Parks, parks and more parks

Portland sure has a lot of parks. Today we found a big park with lots of ducks. Jasmine thought that was pretty interesting. She has no fear of animals. She just ran up to all of them and tried to pat them. But they all ran away. We also set up the slide we bought in our back yard. They had a ball.
