Things seem better

The doctor said Jasmine was getting better and to not worry about her losing weight and that she'd gain it back. She's not fully recovered, but for today, is better. Tomomi took these fun pictures of them today. Have you heard in the news that we've had about 50 days in a row of rain with no end in sight? Even Jasmine seems to be sick of it!! Mommy's beyond sick of it...ready to move to Florida. I have not wanted to spread this nasty virus, so the babies haven't even got out of their pj's for 10 days, let alone leave the house. We want spring!!! Hey Moma, they can get on and off thier little scooters now!

Back to puking

That poor girl hacked all night. Only to wake up and puke up her bottle. She's lost 2 pounds in 12 days. Back to the doctor today.

Turning the corner

Jasmine had a fever last night and I got to try out the breathing machine at 2:00 am. But this morning, she was playing again. So, here's a smiley picture. First smile I've seen all week!

Amoxi and breathing machines

Jasmine is getting worse. Back to the dr. for the third time this week. She's getting a secondary infection now. So they sent me home with a breathing machine and amoxicillian for 10 days She's absolutely miserable. Cameron is laughing again, so he's feeling better.

Steroids and xrays

Cameron seems to have turned the corner for the better. He seems better today. But Jasmine's just getting worse. So she got a steroid shot today, then sent for xrays. Have you ever seen an xray machine for babies? What a torture chamber. She cried her head off. But right now, we're just trying to keep her out of the hospital. She's got a virus infection in her lungs. If she's improved by tomorrow, looks like we get to stay out of the ER.

RSV really sucks

7 days ago, the babies came down with Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). Which is the most common cause of bronchiolitis and pneumonia among infants and children under 1 year of age. This is a HORRIBLE virus. Jasmine has puked 1-4 times a day for the last SEVEN days. Cameron only a few times but he's in his man training. You know, I'm absolutely miserable and I'm going to moan and groan and holler my head off so everyone knows how miserable I am cry. Today Cameron could have tried out for a scary movie, the poor guy was covered in barf so much I hardly recognized him. Poor Jasmine puked just before him, but the one who pukes the most gets to be changed first. They both have been absolutely miserable. We've cleaned up puke in my car, the hallway, the bathroom, the couch, myself, Jonathon, Tomomi, the carpet and their crib about 25 times this week. These poor kids have had a fever as well. They are absolutely miserable and it just won't go away. Poor Jasmine wheezes so bad she can hardly breathe. No fun pictures this week. Unless you want one of them barfing their brains out.

Eating our way into toddlerhood

This was a fun feeding! This is the perfect shirt for eating carrots.

Jasmine came down with cradle cap. But a little olive oil did the trick!

Cameron cleans up so nicely though!

Trying to get them to sit still for a photo is not easy anymore! But we got this one.

Don't do as Mortimer does

I cannot believe what Jasmine did this morning. We have two cats and they always play fight. Although Mortime sometimes gets too aggressive with Simon and bites his head and pins him down. Well, Jasmine has been paying attention. She tried to pin down Cameron while biting his head!!!

It's all about Cameron

No, he doesn't smile all the time. Last night the poor guy cried from 1 - 4. Absolutely nothing comforted that poor guy. But he was all smiles today after he got a nice nap in.

Cameron...meet Mr. Squirrel. Now he'd like a nut please......

Welcome Tomomi!

Our new Au Pair arrived! Her name is Tomomi and she's from Japan, but was living in Arizona for a few months with another family. She found Portland to be quite cold! Anyway, the babies love her!
