A very sad day

In one day, we went from having two sports cars to having none. My beloved arrest me red Toyota Celica GT-S and Jonathon's mustang convertable are now sitting on the dealership's lot. It was time to depart with our little tiny 2 door cars for a baby car. Call it a bit over the top of ridiculous, but we now own two Grand Jeep Cherokees. Jonathon's is gold and mine is metallic black. You see, my good friends knew our cars needed to go, and I was kidnapped today and held captive at a car dealership. Fortunately, my good friend DeAnna has connections in the car industry. So not only did we trade in our mustang and Celica, but we got a 2004 Grand Jeep Cherokee AND a bunch of cash back! Not bad since there was a $7,000 difference in their favor. So, now we not only have twin babies, but twin cars. How silly is that?

Help is on the way!

We have some exciting news. We hired an Au Pair to come and live with us for one year. She is from France and she arrives on June 24th!! We are excited to have her live with us and hope she is as excited about her adventure in America.

Last night, our friend DeAnna spent the entire night and did all the feedings. We were so exhausted and she picked up on how dysfunctional we had become. We got to sleep the entire night and we feel like a million bucks this morning :).

Jonathon's dad arrives tomorrow and we are so excited. He will meet his grandkids tomorrow and we are so happy he'll be here. Cameron calls, so gotta go.

Creative gift ideas

We never realized how many wonderful friends we have. Ok, I knew we had a lot of friends, but never did I expect to receive so many incredible and thoughtful gifts. I wanted to share with you a few that were really unique.

My sister's family sent us a personal chef! She came to our house and cooked us 16 meals!! Not just any 'ol meal, but true gourmet meals. Here's one of them. Stuffed porkchops with butternut squash and orzo. I'll never forget how wonderful the house smelled while she was here. She prepared 4 entrees that served 4 people and so she froze them into packages that serve two. I never imagined we would eat so well with two newborns in the house! She even left the tulips for us.

Another favorite was our friend Tim, who's sister hand paints these customized blocks. Aren't they darling!!

And my Mother in law has a friend who makes cutomized bracelots with names in them. Here's mine! I can't get a good picture, but it has jasmine and cameron's name in the beading.

Not much new

It's been a pretty uneventful week. I mean isn't it a bit sad when all I can write about is Cameron had to go to the dr. because he hadn't pooped in 4 days? Of course he did as soon as we got home from the dr. and he saved him self from a sapository. Ok, that's our exciting week. But he now weights 9 lbs. 5 oz. and she weighs 9 lbs. 10 oz. Today we ventured out with them and they did very well in and out of the car for 3 hours. That's about it. My day has begun at 4:00 am for the past few days. But Mom says I can sleep in til 5 tomorrow! I'm so excited. The other exciting news is I've lost 49 pounds in a month. Whoo hooo!

Kicking back with Dad

Jonathon's off to N.C. for a week. Thank heavens my Mother in Law is here!

How to post a comment

Several people have said they have trouble posting a comment. It's set up so you can post annonymous comments only. So just post that way and include your name if you want. The other way, (non-annonymous), you'd have to register in order to post a comment, and we didn't think you'd want to do that. I enjoy reading all your comments, so keep them coming! It's as exciting for me to read them as it is for you to see new postings :).

I'm back!

I just got released. 5 days of being hospital bound. Well, at least I got to sleep a lot. I am better now and the infection is gone. I feel like a cat with my 9 lives. I think I've used up many since I've been pregnant. I'll post some pictures tonight or tomorrow.

Michelle's in the hospital

Sorry for the lack of updates Cameron & Jasmine Fans, but Michelle was admitted to the hospital on Monday with an infection. As such, she hasn't been able to update the blog & daddy has been just a little too busy to do things like take pictures, post pictures, eat, sleep or breath. Luckily, Grandma dropped what she was doing, flew to our rescue & will be here for two weeks. *whew*

Michelle is doing well, but she needs to keep her temperature below 101 for 48 hours before they'll let her go home. It's been about 24 hours since she last went over that, so hopefully she'll be home tomorrow.

Cameron & Jasmine are fabulous, but, surprise surprise, they're quite a handful. They're healthy & in great hands with Grandma while dad is at work, though. Once Michelle gets home, she'll get this baby bonanza up and running again.

TGIF

Or does it really matter that it's Friday? Not for me! My two solo days were not bad at all. Yesterday was better because I was more rested. I'm addicted to Survivor and The Apprentice, so I have to stay up late and pay for it the next day.

The kids doing great. They love to be doted on and picked up and rocked, etc... I've figured out a way to hold both at once and even feed one at a time while holding the other. Not easy, but this way one doesn't feel neglected and no crying. The hardest part is that it seems like one is awake while the other sleeps and vice versa. So much for sleeping when the babies sleep. Thanks Laura for coming by today and allowing me to take a shower! That was a nice little break.

I'm beat so that's all for today.

3 weeks old today

Here's a picture of Summer before she left.

I'll report in on my first solo day later on today. All in all, not too bad!

Auntie Summer goes home today : (

Now let the challenge begin. Jonathon's back at work, Auntie Summer's leaving today and it's just me and the babies. Ought to be an interesting day.

Are you wondering how my PUPPS is going? Well, it's mostly gone, but at least once or twice a day, it will still drive me bonkers. But nothing like before.

Here's a few pictures.

S.O.S.

Jonathon doesn't have to go to Milpitas next week, but he does have to go to N.C. the week of March 14th. Mon - Fri. Well, isn't that going to be an interesting week for me. For all my local friends that have offered to help me, THIS is my S.O.S.!!!

Can anyone spend a night with me and do the 9 pm and 12:00 am feeding? I can manage the 3, 6 and 9 am, but need to sleep sometime. If nights are not your thing, feel free to come by during the morning, afternoon, evening! Let me know if you can help and I'll start making a schedule.
